The film tells the riveting story of a complex murder case, parallelly investigated by a police officer and an investigative journalist in their own way, who eventually cross paths to unravel secrets they never imagined.

自幼跟随爷爷学习茅山道术的阴十三和史胖子是一对好朋友，他们俩混迹于茅山术吧，十三经常发一些他降妖除魔的事情，只不过很少有人相信罢了。某天他们应邀来到某女子家，对方家里挂紧窗帘，因为一拉开窗帘她就感到有人勒脖子。好不容易解决了这单，他们又被卷入另一起事件。同校女孩穆然一周前经历一场车祸，她的好友蓝珊在车祸中死去，穆然郁郁寡欢，而死去的蓝珊似乎充满怨气，要把朋友也拉入阴间。十三和胖子救下了穆然，回程途中遇到胖子同村的青年大雄、小雄，两人身上浓重的尸气让十三顿感不妙。为了一探究竟，好兄弟和穆然朝向了恶鬼横行的村庄……
