九·一八事变后，日本开始强化实施向满洲移民的政策。这一天是林口镇闻名遐迩的“正北货栈”的掌柜方振宇与吴萃花结婚的日子，宾客中有乔装而来的“梅姑寨子”的寨主吕金梅，还有日本在东北的组织“黑龙会”林口分会的会长松本太郎，松本太郎巴结方振宇提出与他结交，方振宇洞悉 “黑龙会”的企图，婉言拒绝。松本太郎借吕金梅杀害两个日本人的事件请求关东军援手，一队荷枪实弹的关东军扑向方家大院，方振宇和兄弟们寡不敌众，松本太郎威逼方振宇投靠“黑龙会”，方振宇痛斥日本人的强盗行径，松本太郎无奈举刀捅向方振宇。为给方振宇报仇，吴萃花投奔抗联积极参加抗日，之后重遇已经成为黑龙山首领的方振宇，吴萃花为了完成组织交代的任务，毅然跟随方振宇上黑龙山，成为黑龙山上智勇双全的“女响马”。
